The Plastic Surgical Nursing Certification Board is pleased to announce the launch of the much anticipated Certified Aesthetic Nurse Specialist (CANS) exam! After years of research and development the pilot of the CANS exam will be offered during the ASPSN Symposium at the Aesthetic Meeting in New York City in April. The initial exams in April will not result in certification; however, taking the exam – which will be free of charge – will provide an advantage to those that will take the first official certification held at the ASPSN 39th Annual Meeting in San Diego in October 2013. Please note that study materials are not available for the pilot exam. An updated version of the Core Curriculum for Plastic Surgical Nursing as well as a review course will be available for the fall
