  1. Be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the United States, its territories or Canada, holding a current full and unrestricted license.
  2. Have a minimum of two (2) years of plastic surgical nursing experience as a registered nurse in a general staff, administrative, teaching, or research capacity within three (3) years prior to application
  3. Have spent at least 1,000 practice hours in plastic surgical nursing during two (2) of the preceding three (3) years.
  4. Be currently working in the field of plastic surgical nursing and in collaboration with a board certified plastic surgeon who holds a current full and unrestricted license.

 

$195 for ISPAN members

$295 for non-members

$100 first-time retake fee* for ISPAN members

For persons who did not pass on their very first attempt. Good for two years from date of first test.

$150 first-time retake fee* for non-members

 

Additional exam fees:

$25 late processing fee

To cover postmarks between application deadline and end of late fee period.

$25 application refund fee

Incurred if a refund of the exam fee is processed.

$20 returned check fee

Incurred if a check for any exam fee(s) is returned for insufficient funds.

* Current license as an RN in the United States, its territories, or Canada.
* Minimum of 2 years of plastic surgical nursing experience as an RN.
* Spend at least 50% of practice hours in plastic surgical nursing during 2 of the preceding 5 years.
* Be in compliance with state regulations of the practice of hemodialysis patient-care technicians, if applicable. Applicants must meet the experience requirement (for certification) of the state in which they practice.
