In order to re-certify, one will need 80 points of credit as well as verification of a minimum of 1,200 hours of advanced practice nursing related to primary, secondary, or tertiary prevention of addictions within the past four years. Practice can include managing, supervising, educating, consulting, or directing other persons to help achieve patient goals related to prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation. At least 51% of the 80 CEU’s for re-certification must be directly related to Addictions Nursing.

CARN-AP Recertification: $375 or $325 for current IntNSA Members
Recertification Application Submission:
You must not submit your application for recertification until you are within up six (6) months of your recertification deadline. Applications submitted before the six-month mark will be refunded. To avoid a lapse in certification, all applications should be submitted no less than four (4) weeks prior to the certification deadline.
Four (4) years from the date of passing the exam.
