Requirements

In order to re-certify, one will need 80 points of credit as well as verification of a minimum of 1,200 hours of advanced practice nursing related to primary, secondary, or tertiary prevention of addictions within the past four years. Practice can include managing, supervising, educating, consulting, or directing other persons to help achieve patient goals related to prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.  At least 51% of the 80 CEU’s for re-certification must be directly related to Addictions Nursing.

$375 Standard Recertification Application

$100 Retired Status Application (For Retiring candidates only)

$100 Incurred Fee for late submissions (See Recertification Timeline)

Recertification Application Submission:

Click the "Timeline for Recertification" button (left) to see a chart of the ANCB Recertification Timeline.  There is a 3-month LATE PERIOD following the certification deadline (See Timeline Chart). In addition to the standard fee, applications postmarked or received during the late period must include a $100 Period Fee fee.  Applications postmarked after the Late Period will not be accepted.

Recertification:

Four (4) years from the date of passing the exam.
