Requirements
PSNCB Eligibility Criteria

Be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the United States, its territories or Canada, holding a current full and unrestricted license.

Have a minimum of two (2) years of plastic surgical nursing experience as a registered nurse in a general staff, administrative, teaching, or research capacity within three (3) years prior to application

Have spent at least 1,000 practice hours in plastic surgical nursing during two (2) of the preceding three (3) years.

Be currently working in the field of plastic surgical nursing and in collaboration with a board certified plastic surgeon who holds a current full and unrestricted license.

Recertification:
3 years from the date of passing the exam.
Exam Dates & Deadlines:
NOTICE:
“Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, standard procedures for exam dates and deadlines have been temporarily amended. Computer-based testing opened in April of 2021, and C-NET is accepting applications for this certification year-round. No deadlines or late fees shall apply for Computer-Based Testing.
Application Processing
Please allow an average of six weeks (from the time C-NET receives your application) for processing and review. Should C-NET require further information to complete its review of your submission, we will contact you using the email address provided on your application. When your application is approved, our testing partner PSI will send a link to your email address, allowing you to schedule an examination date online. Along with your link, you will be granted a 90-day testing window. You must both schedule and sit for your examination within the 90 days provided.
Extension Requests
If you need to extend your testing window after scheduling your exam with PSI, you must do so by emailing our customer service desk at info@cnetnurse.com. When requesting an extension, be sure to provide your name, the last four digits of your social security number, and the name of the test you are taking.
